Bastrop County is now officially the ‘Film Hospitality Capital of Texas’

Bastrop County is now officially the “Film Hospitality Capital of Texas.” According to our partners at the Austin American-Statesman, the county was presented with the honor on Monday, after HCR 131 was passed by the state legislature and signed by Governor Greg Abbott in May. According to the Statesman, since 2007, more than 50 films, television and commercial projects have been based in the county and there are more in the works.
