About

With a mix of media productions always rolling in, from student and feature films to network TV shows and national brand commercials, we know how to accommodate any size project. Our unique backlot consisting of the Colorado River, vast plains, rolling hills, dense forest and a purpose-built film cabin will enhance the quality of productions and allow them to be almost anywhere in the world. Just minutes from ABIA and the world-class Diamond resort, Hyatt Lost Pines, VIPs and Executives will appreciate the convenience of filming here.

Here are what some are saying about their experience:

“I would recommend NRS to any producer looking to produce an efficient production that gets rid of a lot of headaches you see in other cities and on other stages. From the wonderful amenities to the helpful staff – this is a special place and it’s highly recommend[ed].”
– Ash Christian, Producer

“The flexibility of New Republic studios (the physical space and the entire staff) was vital to our success during filming. We were able to come and go from the facility at all hours, with ease, and even had 24 hr support a phone call away if needed. Thank you for everything!! We will be back!”
– Seana Flanagan, Producer

But don’t take their word for it, come see for yourself!

Internship Program

At New Republic Studios we value education, not only in the creative arts, but also in the new emerging technologies and strive to give unique and forward-thinking opportunities to students. Our internship program focuses on gaining a first-hand experience by working on television, commercial, feature film and immersive media sets.

Our interns gain valuable know-how by shadowing alongside their preferred department head, where they build a rapport with industry professionals and gain invaluable skills that stay with them long after the internship has completed.

Currently, in partnership with the following programs: Austin Community College, Texas State University, University of Texas, the Art Institute of Austin and the Austin School of Film.

Applications are open for the Spring 2020 Semester until Jan 28th, 2019. Please send an email to for more info.
